Foundation is something I usually try to avoid as you know, because my skin is quite clear so I don’t really need it. However, I do have reasons to wear it. When looking for a foundation I look for longevity – because I don’t want to have to touch it up - , it must look and feel like skin and especially now that this look is on trend, and it should have enough shades to match my skin tone perfectly.
Also, something else I take into consideration, of course, is my skin’s needs. For instance, it shouldn’t dehydrate my skin and it shouldn’t turn pink after a couple of minutes of applying – as most foundations do on me -, and finally it should also have SPF. I’m not so strict with SPF because I can just wear a sunscreen underneath so it’s such a big deal for me.
While I was out shopping a few weeks back, I noticed the new Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Aqua Nude foundation and when I saw the name I thought that I must give it a try. It has SPF 20, it is water-based – as its name suggests – meaning that it keeps the skin hydrated longer than most other foundations and it also plumps the skin, it is long-wearing and last but not least it’s made with a certain technology where long-wearing polymers protect the skin from sweat, water and sebum which is also helps to make the foundation even more long-wearing.
So after all that you understand that I simply love this foundation. Its packaging is plastic and light so it is very easy to have on the go with you if you carry your foundation with you. It feels amazing on, as I don’t feel wearing it and it is hard to detect. It has definitely climbed up to my all time favourite foundations as it ticks most boxes for me except for the perfect shade, which it still is close so I don’t really mind. I definitely recommend you give it a try.
Thanx for stopping by! I’ll talk to you soon.
