How To: The Way to Hydrated, Perfect, Juicy Lips!

We all get dry lips when it is THIS cold outside! So I thought it was the perfect time for me to share my favourite tips and tricks on how to get from dry lips to perfect, hydrated, juicy lips! This will be a step by step guide so that it is easy for you to go through it and understand it at a glance. So let’s get started.

Step 1: Begin with Hydrating Your Lips

Usually this is the last part of the process but since I get extremely dry lips that are one step behind starting to bleed on their own, I begin by hydrating them. When you have dry or dehydrated skin there is usually no point in hydrating it because it is never going to go so deep in your skin due to the dry surface on top. This is exactly why we want to do this with our lips. At this stage we aren’t interested in hydrating our lips just the outer surface so that they are easier to remove. Apply your favourite lip balm liberally and leave for about 10 minutes.

Step 2: Then lightly remove the excess with a tissue.

Step 3: Exfoliate.

It’s time to exfoliate. There are many ways to exfoliate but today I’m just going to focus on my favourite way, which using a lip scrub. You take a bit with your finger and gently rub it on your top and bottom lip. You can also rub your lips together for a better result. There are many lip scrubs on the market, but my personal favourites are the ones below:

  1. Sara Haap The Llip Scrub
  2. Charlotte Tilbury Love Scrub
  3. Fresh Sugar Lip Polish
  4. Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Step 4: Take a tissue paper and remove it.

Step 5: End the Process by Hydrating Your Lips

As you have probably understood by now, hydration is how everything begins and ends. Especially this process. It is time therefore to hydrate the lips so that they can look perfect. Below you can see my favourite lip balms so that you can have a great result always.

  1. La Mer The Lip Balm
  2. EOS lip balm
  3. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Magic
  4. Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil
  5. Chanel Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care
  6. Bobbi Brown Lip Balm
  7. Nuxe Reve de Miel

I love them all the same but if I had to pick one I would definitely choose La Mer’s The Lip Balm. Please note the lip balms above are kind of in an order of preference. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you did learn something new today. Please subscribe to my blog and like my social media profiles. Until next time I hope you have a great day!

Lot’s of love,

xoxo, Angie.
